EVENT DETAILS
This two-day immersive experience is designed for therapists and practitioners who want to enhance their attunement and clinical practice while also applying Brainspotting to their personal process to clear internal blocks and expand into a more grounded, connected, and vibrant state. This workshop harnesses the power of group consciousness to maximize healing.
We will focus on resourcing ourselves as practitioners and as a community. Along with Brainspotting theory and practice, we will explore topics of burnout prevention, compassion fatigue, self-care practices, as well as decolonization, ancestral healing, collective trauma, collective healing, spirituality and its place in our practices. A blend of learning as well as self-care and personal healing, walk away from this day retreat experience rebalanced and connected.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Group brainspotting experience to process internal blocks, burnout, and collective distress in a communal environment
Experience collective healing rituals and a supportive space to connect as healers
Four live demonstration sessions with Mariya, using a variety of Brainspotting set-ups, followed by debrief discussions
Dyad practice, where therapists work with one another to integrate their personal healing
A supportive space to heal, discharge, and update your mindset for personal and professional growth
LOCATION: In person at The Healing Arts Collective, St. Paul, Minnesota
*Participants are responsible for their own lodging, flights/transportation, and meals. Refreshments will be provided at the location.

*Optional: Group breathwork experience from 6-7:30 pm on Saturday.

Mariya Javed-Payne is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor and International Brainspotting Trainer and Consultant.
She is a somatic psychotherapist and the owner of Awaken Consulting Services, a private practice and consultancy where she utilizes Brainspotting therapy and offers training and consultation on the treatment of trauma, somatic psychotherapies, psychedelic assisted therapy, anti-racism, and other relevant mental health topics. She also offers therapy intensives for complex PTSD and addictions, where clients work with her for multiple hours a day for a number of days to get to the root of traumatic experiences.
Always seeking out the most cutting edge advances in treatment, she utilizes psychedelic medicines such as ketamine with somatic therapy. Her 14 years of experience have focused on clients with addictions, medication assisted treatment therapies, complex and developmental trauma, racial and ancestral trauma, oppression, and chronic pain. Identifying as a deep-hearted visionary and servant leader, she has served various leadership roles in the mental health service industry, such as Chief Clinical Officer at Institute for Integrative Therapies, the first psychedelic assisted therapy clinic in Minnesota, as well as Director of Behavioral Health at a large federally qualified health center. Mariya has courageously supported and trained many teams of physicians, therapists, psychiatrists, and social workers to embody attunement and provide trauma-responsive, anti-oppressive counseling and addiction therapies to people and communities in need of healing.

We will provide you with a full refund if you cancel up to 14 days before the event (less $75 administrative fee per ticket purchased.) We do not offer partial refunds if you are unable to attend the entire training. However, we know that life situations arise, so please contact us if you have a special circumstance.

Complimentary certificates of completion for 14 clock hours are sent out after the training.
We also have 14 CEs approved by the Minnesota Board of Social Work.
You will need to do your research on whether you qualify to use these. Each state has their own rules, and some will accept them, others will not. Full attendance is required, as well as the completion of an evaluation after the course. The evaluation will ask if you felt you learned specific objectives. -
-Utilize Brainspotting interventions to process limbic countertransference, enhancing self-awareness and emotional regulation to improve therapeutic presence.
-Develop advanced attunement skills and basic mastery of Phase 1 and 2 techniques, by engaging in experiential Brainspotting practices, fostering deeper client-therapist resonance and co-regulation.
-Explore the integration of neurobiological principles within Brainspotting to facilitate deeper healing for both therapists and clients.
-Engage in structured self-reflection and peer-processing exercises to enhance clinical decision-making and therapist self-regulation.
-Examine the therapeutic impact of group dynamics in Brainspotting, applying collective healing principles to clinical practice.
-Assess the appropriate brainspotting techniques for the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder and other trauma-related symptoms.
-Demonstrate understanding of the impact of limbic countertransference, compassion fatigue, and burnout both personally and professionally and its risks.
-Identify three self-care habits to promote therapist well-being and increased therapeutic presence with clients.
-Identify 2 client-centered communal practices or rituals to increase resilience in clients and clinicians alike.
