Brainspotting Ancestral Healing Retreat
*Please read all the details below before signing up!
In this ancestral healing retreat, we will utilize Brainspotting, somatic abolitionism, shamanic healing practices, and spiritual/energy practices to gain a deeper understanding of burdens and blessings within our ancestral lineage and its impact on our lives. By working through unresolved issues or trauma, individuals can release any negative patterns or emotions that may have been passed down through their family line and also address these patterns through an intergenerational (multi-generational healing) perspective. Our goal will be to offer a strong container for one another as we each work on issues that have been passed down to us generationally or through the collective power structures and to also work with the energetics of ancestral trauma. This work will likely have supernatural elements to it, especially at our location in Akumal, Mexico, which is on an energy vortex. The group will be capped at 10 participants.
The Program:
-Complete pre-work that will be sent out prior to the retreat
-Experience a 2-3 hour Brainspotting session focused on ancestral healing/ancestral burden with Mariya in a group setting
-Hold space for your cohort members by practicing attunement and how to build a strong energetic container capable of moving and healing collective trauma utilizing the Brainspotting frame, uncertainty principle, and attunement
-Learn how to work with spiritual/intuitive gifts, set boundaries, work with guides, and other beings through Brainspotting and other shamanic methods
-Learn how to move collective/ancestral trauma energetically, somatically
-Learn how to work with unhealed ancestors and ancestral burdens
-Learn to reclaim ancestral gifts and healing abilities
-Debrief and integration sessions in a group setting each day
-This may include shamanic work, regression work, past life readings, and energy healing by Mariya
-Learn somatic abolitionism practices and other techniques to do ancestral healing and lineage work
-Connect with the spirit of the land and learn how to work with energetic land healing and clearing
-Learn techniques to ground and create a sacred circle in a communal setting
-Participate in deep, meaningful work to assist the changes happening on the planet by working with your ancestral line
-Learn how to make and work with a sacred altar and the elements
-Connect more deeply with your consciousness through Brainspotting and other practices
-Please note the group will be open to those of all backgrounds, races, and cultures. We will be engaging in the work from the grounding truth that all of us have healed and unhealed ancestors, burdens and blessings from our lineages, and that our original ancestor is the Earth herself
-A Temezcal (sweat lodge) ceremony guided by a Mayan elder
-Breathwork workshop geared towards release and rewiring (I'm a Certified Breathwork Practitioner).
-Optional: Kambo/sapo ceremony (a powerful cleansing and purgative medicine from a sacred tree frog from the Amazon which I serve).
Program is subject to change.
While this will have teaching components, this is an experiential healing retreat involving teaching and transmissions, versus a training. The last group that went on this pilgrimage had a profound healing experience that has been life changing for all involved, personally and professionally. This is an intensive week and I recommend connecting with your intuition and deeper self to inquire if this is calling to you at this time.

ABOUT BRAINSPOTTING:
Brainspotting is a powerful, focused treatment method that works by identifying, processing and releasing core neurophysiological sources of emotional/body pain, trauma, dissociation and a variety of challenging symptoms. Brainspotting is a simultaneous form of diagnosis and treatment, enhanced with BioLateral sound, which is deep, direct, powerful yet focused and containing.
Brainspotting identifies activated eye positions designated as Brainspots. Located through either one or both eyes, Brainspots are observed from either the “Inside Window” of the clients felt sense and/or the “Outside Window” of the clients’ reflexive responses (i.e., blink, eye twitches or wobbles, pupil dilation, quick breaths and subtle body shifts). Students will first learn the phenomenological approach that underpins strategies for Brainspotting, followed by strategies for identifying and processing Brainspots. Attention will be given to the utilization and integration of Brainspotting into ongoing treatment, including highly dissociative clients.
Brainspotting is adaptable to almost all areas of specialization. Brainspotting provides therapists with powerful tools to enable their patients to quickly and effectively process through the deep brain sources of many held traumas, emotional, somatic and performance problems.
AUDIENCE:
Psychologists, social workers, counselors, coaches, healing professionals with strong clinical backgrounds, current students, and interns that have completed live Phase 1 and Phase 2 Brainspotting training.
